The Liberal Arts Graduate Internship Program (GRIP) aims to provide humanities and social science PhD students with an expanded work experience in a university context. The idea is that by developing an understanding of how the larger university works, they will be better positioned as candidates for faculty placements or alternative careers. We worked with Associate Dean Chris Long and one of the current GRIP interns to give the program a home on the web. This project presented a unique challenge because the site needed to serve as a source of program information and also as a job board. To achieve the job board functionality we used Gravity Forms’ custom post tools that allowed job posters to input information, then have it automatically displayed to job seekers.
